Plywood can become magic. Nylon and polyester fabric, puffed up? Not so much. Tom, you and yours have a very wonderful Christmas!

I missed this last time around so it's all new to me, and WOW what a gorgeous Snoopy!! I love making things in general, but making things with a beloved or best friend or cousin (etc.) is THE BEST FEELING IN THE UNIVERSE!! I can only imagine how joyous the whole experience was!!!

I was Linus in our school play when I was 13 but had forgotten all together about peanuts and the sheer joy of reading this cartoon strip over my dad’s shoulder when I was a kid. It IS. Christmassy!

I love your Snoopy. And am not fond of the blow ups. I mean I teach sustainable living, so ... But your snoopy is a labor of love, truly. And will bring joy for years! And, after all, that embodies the Christmas spirit.. right?

Great piece and I’m proud to have a (very) small role in the creation of Christmas Snoopy. For a good view of some inflatables, look no further than the house across my street. I think the previous owners would be horrified.

Your Snoopy is just as cute this year as last! This year I am glad to read the interesting story of the creation, and see how it follows a lot of the awesome creative spirit you guys live with. Saw that spirit alive and well in the next generation at Conrad and Abbie's wedding!

I am very impressed - WW1 Flying Ace Snoopy is an absolute fave, especially when he's slinking around the French countryside after being shot down. And the Xmas dancing is where I got all my best moves... HHs Tom!

That is awesome! Best Christmas yard decoration ever. I grew up watching A Charlie Brown Christmas. Are there any reruns? I wonder if young neighbors will know the reference.

We are Jewish. My daughter is engaged to an Italian Catholic so I will live vicariously and joyfully partake in both Hanukkah and Christmas with my future grandchildren. G-d willing. 🙏🙏

I can almost hear “Snoopy’s Christmas” by the Royal Guardsmen when I look at that! Well done!

Your Snoopy looks great again this year !! You asked about favorite decorations- of course the grandkid homemade ones are the best and I have another from my life as an elementary school teacher. One fifth grader proudly brought me a music box with a hobby horse on top. You wound it up and it played Silent Night. He told that he was sorry that it had one broken leg but that was the only way he could afford it because it was marked down quite a bit. Forty years later it comes out every year and I treasure it and I remember a little boy who must now have kids of his own.

Merry Christmas, Tom!

I remember this post well. I believe it was the first I commented on -- maybe even the first I read. Still love the plywood Snoopy.

I am in awe. This simple guerrilla action is precisely the best defence that we, as humans and citizens, can mount against the void that threatens to stifle all of us.

Next: lets campaign against plastic grass!
