So on those days where the smoke is at it's worst and for people that live even closer, do they wear masks and some sort of eye protection? Where you live is a gorgeous area.
Incredible - thanks for posting. Hoping for rain... What an amazing landscape. I can't imagine what it must be like to have the threat of fires on this scale (or indeed any scale). Wow.
We are living in crazy times, beautiful sunrises and sunsets, However I have to admit I am praying for rain. Planning a trip to Leavenworth the beginning of November, it will be a totally different landscape heading over.
I feel so sorry for all the woodland creatures......
Can't be as grey, wet and miserable as where I am. Apart from when we go to my wife's family in Spain for Christmas, I won't see the sun now until mid April.
Great article - and you do live in a beautiful part of the world. We were in Kelowna, BC a few summers ago while a fire raged off in the (distant) distance ... but we could still smell the smoke. There's nothing like that smell ... Good luck with your trail restoration!

Some people wear masks, but I think most people stay indoors. You see fewer walkers and bikers for sure.
Wow! Thanks for posting, Tom.

Thanks Tom,

yeah, my buddies and I are already planning to volunteer on trail restoration around there, it’s gonna be a mess.
What a beautiful place to live.
It’s pretty great a lot of the time ... soon enough I’ll be writing something about how it will never stop raining and where is the sun FFS?

The first day of the smoke reminds one of camping ... once you’re on week 6, the charm is gone. Thanks Bryan!
Crossing my fingers for the rain you need 🤞🏻 Thanks for sharing, stay safe!
